Truth or Consequences (NM) Volunteer Fire Department has 30 volunteer firefighters, responding from two stations across 30 square miles to 130 incidents annually for a population of 7,000. Established in 1923, it is the first all-volunteer fire department in New Mexico to reach ISO Class 2 rating.
