Features and Benefits
Aluminum Body Features
E-ONE pioneered the use of aluminum for fire truck bodies 50 years ago. Today’s pumper and rescue pumper bodies are an evolution of that design and are built with 3/16” thick plate and heavy wall extrusions using an interlocking design that creates a durable yet lightweight body.
Stainless Body Features
The stainless steel body design uses brake-formed 304L stainless steel for corrosion resistance. The double-flex body mounting system cushions the body from harsh road conditions. When equipped with roll-up doors all painted surfaces use FRP panels that will not corrode.
Pumper Design
Traditional pumper-style bodies are ideal for city departments needing a more maneuverable vehicle. Typical designs include tall left side compartments and a half-height right side with exterior ground ladder storage. Tall right side compartments with a ladder tunnel optional. The wide hose bed is available at standard height or in a low hose bed design.
Rescue Pumper Design
The rescue pumper body design provides additional storage with full-height / full-depth compartments. Optional rooftop compartments (wide or narrow) provide even more storage space. Ground ladders can be in a tunnel or on an overhead rack (center mount or HD two-arm). Standard or low hose bed available.
Custom Pump Modules
Pump module styles include side-mount, enclosed side-mount, top-mount, top-mount with integral speedlays and enclosed top-mount. Pumps from Hale, Waterous and Darley are available with optional foam and compressed air foam systems.
Optional Enclosed Top-Mount
Typhoon and Cyclone cab and chassis are available with an enclosed top-mount pump panel placing the pump operator inside the cab away from the harsh northern climates.
E-ONE or Spartan Chassis
Pumper products are built with heavy-duty cab and chassis from E-ONE and Spartan. An extensive range of options is available to configure the apparatus to meet department needs.
