11.13.09 - U.S. Army Takes Delivery of the First of 11 E-ONE ARFF Units
Ocala, FL (November 13, 2009) – E-ONE completes the first of 11 Titan Force 6x6’s for the U.S. Army, ordered by the Army’s Tank-Automotive Command (TACOM) through the Defense Logistics Agency.  The Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) units are valued at more than $6 million and will be placed into service in Iraq.

“It is an honor for E-ONE to supply these units to the troops in the Iraq Theater,” said R.J. Jones, E-ONE sales manager for the U.S. government and ARFF product line.  “TACOM needed safe and reliable ARFF vehicles delivered as quickly as possible.  Implementation of recent manufacturing efficiency improvements combined with our strategic planning is allowing us to deliver the units two months ahead of schedule.”

TACOM through the Defense Logistics Agency issued a bid in the first quarter of 2009 and E-ONE was considered the best value contractor.  The units ordered are state-of-the-art Titan Force 6x6’s built to exceed NFPA 414 requirements in extinguishment, stability and off-road performance while offering one of the safest cabs in the industry.
